after scanning with the wifi inspector, it shows items connected to my network. One item I don’t recognize. it shows as “Lenovo” with an IP address. I don’t own anything by Lenovo. Is there any way to remove this item or to find out where its coming from?

Whilst you may not have a product branded by Lenovo there is a possibility it was made by them.
Take all known devices off your network and rescan using WiFi Inspector.
Then reintroduce devices one by one. Post results.
Another program you can use (free to use) is softperfect wifi guard version 1.0.7 Newer versions require a license after the trial period is over. You can set this program to announce a new device on the network when it appears. You cannot block a device tho.
