Avast Free Antivirus version: 18.8.2356
Avast will madly clear my proxy settings!!!
When I have disabled all protections permanently, AVAST will still clear my proxy settings.
I can’t stand it anymore. If you don’t give a solution, I will give up buying AVAST and uninstall this product permanently!

Please give me a solution, or tell me how to completely uninstall AVAST
What makes you think it’s Avast ???
Sound more like your firewall settings or some other security program.

I use ‘ProcessMonitor’ to monitor registry changes, the keyword is ‘AutoConfigURL’, find that the ‘AvastSvc.exe’ process will modify my registry, reset the proxy settings.

Can you share (the relevant part of) the ProcessMonitor log (the PML file)?

I was hoping to see where the operation is called from - but unfortunately, the stack (or rather module) information is missing in the ProcMon log, possibly because of Avast self-defense.
Do you think you could try to reproduce the issue with Avast self-defense disabled (it can be done in Settings / Troubleshooting) and submit a new Process Monitor log?
Thanks.

I hope this problem can be fixed soon.
Best blessing.
It is not about component, but rather about detecting network changes using microsoft fuction, which does not work well…
