My grandson downloaded a game onto my laptop. Along with it came the usual c***
As I uninstalled everything I got 2 warnings and deleted threats, then ran malwarebytes, 28 infections.
Rebooted and did boot scan. Left with snap do tool bar .
Ran ad thingy, rebooted and it had gone. This morning it is back, now avast is off and won’t turn on.
I only discovered this when I clicked the icon to get here and avoid using the snap-do bar. No warnings
that it is off!

I just tried a quick scan and a message said
“there are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper”
I have to go out shortly so will be back after lunch to sort it out. Thank you.

that’s ok
Download and register ( direct link) http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/dl/125/ ADWCleaner on your office(desk):
Wait that the window of confirmation of download arrives
launch it, (For vista / 7 / 8 = > right click "as administrator(director) ")
Click abolition(deletion) and post C:\Adwcleaner[Sx].txt

Was that supposed to download an installer that asked me if I wanted yet MORE bleeping toolbars?
And the box that asks will not respond until one or all the options have been checked.
Then installs itself anyway when I close it. :o
Finally got rid of the snap do but still have no virus protection. Do I uninstall avast and reinstall?
Why on earth would anyone want all those toolbars?? Sorry no need to answer that, just a rant.

Here’s what I’ve been getting on with… avast would not start, no warnings and did not know it was not running!
I uninstalled my paid avast, and downloaded the free version for now. Ran a quick scan… 2 infections, ran a boot scan which found 2 more infections, all must have found their way onto my computer today… All moved to chest. Then ran malwarebytes again…another 10 infections.
Log attached. All these infections occurred today. Any idea how I can upgrade to the internet package I had before without having to pay again?

if you saved the mail you got with the license file in, then it is no problem…
but you should wait with that until g3n-h@cm@n is finish cleaning your computer…guessing he is in bed now
i see your malwarebytes was not updated when you run the scan…
update it… run new scan… click remove selected and attach log
