This problem has been on going for 4 months and you have not done crap to correct it!!! It has been reported to you many times by Futuremark. Get off your asses and fix it!!!~!
What is ‘will not let run’? Virus message? Autosandbox?
Strange that this is the first time you mention it since your last visit to the forums In December last year.
As kubecj says some more information would help.
Future mark posted they have reported this to avast so I assumed avast would do something about it… You must disable avast for the program to run otherwise it gives a missing .dll warning when 3dmark 11 is started and program crashes.
Well I would say that disabling avast is overkill, as there are probably two elements that may be involved A) the behavior shield and or B) the autosandbox (which is the lessor likelihood).
The behavior shield is set to auto, so if it were to intercept anything for analysis, that may delay the loading of a file, which could result in the program reporting a missing file. You don’t say what that missing file is and if it is actually present on your system ?
-
Check the C:\ProgramData\Alwil(Avast) Software\Avast(5)\report\behaviorshield.txt file using notepad and check for any entries relating to the effected software. If there is try adding (copy and paste) the full path into the BehS, Expert Settings, Trusted processes and see if that helps, you may need to reboot.
Note - The text in the path within the brackets above may or may not be the option as both locations are valid depending on how you installed/updated to avast 6.0. -
Behaviour Shield ‘momitor system changes’ - Something else you can try if the above doesn’t work:
New Behaviour Shield, Expert settings option - ‘monitor the system for unauthorised modifications’ - this appears to be causing some applications not to start, presumably they modify the system in some way when they start.
Same drill for the autosandbox - Check the C:\ProgramData\Alwil(Avast) Software\Avast(5)\log\autosandbox.log file for the presence of that dll file.
This is less likely as the autosandbox is Set to Ask so you should get an alert if it intervened.
We’ve tried to install 3dmark, with no problems at all. Until we get better info, we can’t do anything with that.
