I have windows 11. I’ve been using the paid version of Avast for years. Today when I went to open the Avast app I got this window (see attached screenshot) if I try to open a scan, from a right click in the tray or tha app I get this box and nothing runs. I live in the US I’m not sure why this is happening all of a sudden. Avast appears to be running, or at least it’s there in the tray. Not sure what’s up.

Hello, have you tried restarting your computer to see if this screen does not appear, even so it could be an Avast error.
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
If a restart as suggested doesn’t work, try an Avast Repair.
AvastUI > Menu > Settings > General > Troubleshooting > Repair APP - Restart after completion.
I haven’t restarted yet, I will first chance I get. In the process of editing some pics I need to finish. I will report back

I did a reboot and that seemed to fix it, I’m not sure why it happened, I guess we’ll see if it happens again. Very strange to see it though.
Was that after a Restart only or a Repair and Restart ?
At least that is good to hear that Avast is now running.
As for why this happened in the first place !
