Avast wiped all my Firefox bookmarks

I just installed Avast today. Avast wanted me to install an extension in Firefox; it did not tell me that it would wipe all my bookmarks and history and whatever else, I don’t know. This is a disaster.

It can happen when you install some additional components.
To retrieve bookmarks test well.
Bookmarks - Show all bookmarks - Import and Backup - Restore … and choose from the list!

Did you remove any other av that was installed before installing avast ?

I covered all those things before posting and no I didn’t install any additional components.

I removed AVG and everything was still intact in Firefox.

Did you use the avg uninstall tool ?
