i installed 5.0 it said successful and my security center says its scanning but when i try to open it to access it it says “application failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect” ???
i cant get to the control center

Did you reboot after the installation?
What was the previous AV, and how was it removed?
thanks i did reboot and i had norton and removed it from add rem. programs
Try downloading and running the Norton Removal Tool, available from Majorgeeks (official tool) - click to download under the animated chevrons.
Reboot afterward. See how that goes.
