I have the Home edition, and when someone does a Yahoo file transfer to me, it asks me where to save it, and when it completes, I get a message that Avast couldn’t start to scan the file I just downloaded.
What gives?

Do you have Avast set to scan zips?
There isn’t any reason I can comment on now as to why it will not scan the file downloaded from Yahoo.
More information is needed.

99% of the time, it’s a .jpg or .bmp file.
I get the message that it is unable to start the Avast scan.
