hi every 1 ive been useing avast now for 3 months all good it updates ok i like everything there is to like about it. i have the latest free version useing windows 7. version of avast free is 5.0.677 but when i put my pc on from scratch the tower etc it goes to my desktop all my icons in taskbar show up but not avast i have to click on the programme on desktop 4 it to show. it used to show up on reboot but now now why is this. ive just installed stopzilla another spyware programme that wouldent have stopped avast going through would it. hope some 1 can help i also went into msconfig but i cant see avast in there either yet its on the pc as i can click the avast logo from desktop and then it opens ok.
have you tried avast! repair
For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.

no i havent tryed that yet will that work will it.
also i have malwayre bytes i run that before all this thing with avast as i maintain the pc regular. it found nothing stopzilla found hijackers and to trojans which it removed next scan all clear. but i cant find the repair option in windows 7 im not on windows xp i no u can do the repair thing on that system. but where on windows 7 is the repair 4 avast in control panel all my programmes are in programmes and features but when i go on avast there is no repair option only uninstall-change it says
its ok i got it now i see the repair is there i clicked uninstall a menu comes up i will try this now thx again
