I cant seem to get Avast to stop. I disabled all the shields and its still chewing up 40% of my cpu, sometimes around to 95% of my disk space, and sometimes prevents me from connecting to websites. I assume this because when it gets to 90% of my cpu or 99% of my disk space, I am unable to connect to any webpage.
I tried to shut down all the shields 20 minutes ago and Avast is still using 40% of my cpu and seems to be running the web and mail shields even though they are greyed out.
I wonder, what makes you use this kind of URLs “goo.gl” why don’t you just use a URL from Avast website or the real URL of the website that you want people to go to…I am asking this because someone told me that this kind of URLs can bring some infos about the person who clicks on the link like IPs. I am saying what I heard…maybe the person who told me that is wrong…but I want to know what makes you use this URL?
Thank You.
so i did the above and it worked, for about 4 months. i had to uninstall it again for the same reason. i am not reinstalling avast again.
