Perform a clean installation of the latest avast version with the off-line installer.

Clean Install of Avast:

Thank you for the reply. I uninstalled with avastclear and ccleaner. I installed avast_free_antivirus_setup_online 17.4.3482.0. At first attempt, the PC has blocked. At the second attempt too. Attached the log. The PC has recovered after a serious mistake.

I did say to use the OFF-line installer.

You should have followed the instructions I posted.

Now I try. Thank you.

Sorry I was wrong to write. avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline
17.4.3482.0

Still getting the same error ?

If so try this :

  • Remove avast through control panel
  • Run avastclear
  • Remove all leftovers manually
  • Run CCleaner
    run the file cleanup
run the registry checker, fix things it find. (keep repeating this till nothing is found anymore)
  • Run Mbam
  • Run Farbar

Attach the three logs of the last two points to your next post here.

What is it Mbam?
Now I have many days to test. Thank you.
What three logs?

MBAM = Malwarebytes Anti Malware
Eddy likes to take shortcuts with instructions and assumes everyone is a Geek like himself.
Instructions to the logs:
https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=194892.0

Run avastclear
Remove all leftovers manually
Run CCleaner
Run Mbam
Run Farbar
With Malwarebytes I did scan 6 times with Setting> Scan Optinons> Scan for Rootkits > on. But the function always seems to me off (Disabled)

Thanks…

Is there any reason why you have the RemoteApp Logon Application starting when you boot Windows ?

I do not know. I do not know what a remote app is. I found I had the damaged ram. Thank you…

Good. I threw HDD seagate barracuda 500gb because it died suddenly. I threw the ram CMX8GX3M2B1600C9 because it was damaged. Now I have 16 GB Kingston. I’m resisting OS Win7 64 pro and XP mode. Let’s see if Avast works offline. Sorry if I speak little English. Hello. Thank.

You’re English is good enough for us to understand, so don’t worry about it.

Let us know if everything keeps working or not.

In case you want to test hardware :

There are of course many more (free) tools.

Thank you. I know these programs well and I used them. SeaTools for dos told me it had repaired damaged areas and instead HDD died the same the next day. Now hardware is good but OS hard to install, it makes many mistakes. Hello.
