I have no avast free edition. If I want to install the avast pro, do I uninstall first the free edition?

Right click on the blue avast! ball, then click on “Upgrade to avast! Professional Edition…” then follow the directions.
You don’t need to uninstall the home version when you upgrade to Pro.
Just add (insert) the Pro key into the License key (About dialog).
