i use avast 4.8 pro and i make some stuff in auto-it…when i compile my auto-it files avast detect like a Trojan…
v 4.7 didn’t detected anything…
100% it’s false positive
Q:why in 4.8 detect like a Trojan???
As a workaround, you can add these files to the Standard Shield provider (on-access scanning) exclusion list.
Left click the ‘a’ blue icon, click on the provider icon at left and then Customize. Go to Advanced tab and click on Add button…
You can use wildcards like * and ?. But be careful, you should ‘exclude’ that many files that let your system in danger.
Can you send the samples to virus@avast.com ?
You can zip and password the files… Inform a link to this thread and the password used.
You can send the files to Chest and, from there, resend to Alwil for analysis.
Thanks.
sounds quite strange… there’s no reason for different detections of the files in 4.7 and 4.8…
The different VPS used on each installation will make the difference… the user is not saying an actual 4.7 is different from an actual 4.8. Maybe he referrers to the past.
