I have a license of avast for linux and use it as a SMTP proxy(avastrelay).

May I upgrade my avast for linux(v 1.0.8) to this version?

(/etc/cron.hourly/avastvpsupdater.pl didn’t work since 26.04.2005 and sometimes avastrelay make puzzled message “Cannot append MIME headers” and so on…)

Yes, why not.
avast4server package is antivirus toolset (contains only command-line and daemonized scanner), avastrelay will be available in a separate package. But you can use avastrelay together with the new version of avastd daemon.
Updating of a VPS database has also been improved.
