i downloaded avast 5.0 free and registered it.
i got a license key to my email.
i try to put license key to program - it will not work - copy → paste it to avast → then it says that i am missing some file ???
and registering not work.
What to do ?
Could you please describe the steps you made in a bit more detail, and explain what doesn’t work, exactly?
And why you didn’t choose the online registration in the first place?

I downloaded avast to USB memory, then installed it to computer what is not on network at the moment.
Then i connect it to internet and try to online register, but nothing happens (i tried many times, leaving computer alone up to 15 minutes) then i try to insert license key as instructions says, but then i got this (cannot now remeber excatly error message, because computer is now on my home and i am work at the moment) but it says that some file is missing… and cannot register it.
Should i remove this installation totally and re-install it?
OS: XP Home, with sp3 installed, Computer is Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo T
The error message you get is “The system can’t find the file specified.”
I’ve got this problem as well. Is there any way to fix this?
