just read this review which cant be right about the firewall can it?
This package has some serious disadvantages. For one, it doesn’t offer parental control and firewall protection. It also performs poorly in terms of anti-phishing detection.

Thanks.

I have personally been quite happy with the free version of avast! for almost 10 years.
It has done an excellent job of keeping my computer safe while continuing to be light on system resources.
The items not covered in the free version are added in my system with other free programs.
We all have our own way of keeping our system protected. avast! has done that job for me for a long time.
I have used AIS since its release. Parental controls are not a tool that an antivirus needs and as Bob states there are plenty of free alternatives. I am not sure what they mean by firewall protection, as Avast has a built in self defense on all variants
Personally I find it light, fast and very unobtrusive… Fire and forget
best parental control. OpenDNS and the best is there is no software to install since you sett it in your router
Well, what is best? I think K9, while requiring installation, offers a lot of settings to be configurated.
