When I first discovered Avast, years ago, I had a free version of the software which I was very satisfied with, and I felt safe with it.
This is why I decided later to purchase the full version.
But, since then, I keep receiving sollicitations for purchasing always more. Avast Cleanup, VPN Avast Secureline… It seems that I never have enough protection.
So that I now don’t feel safe anymore, although I pay almost 80€ per year.
Should I go back to the free version ?
I am kidding of course. What I mean is that harassing people all the time with pop up windows in order to have them renew licenses or purchase more, may have a negative effect.
It’s just my opinion.
Hi, you can disable the ads in the paid versions: Avast GUI → Settings → Privacy
I am glad that I am not the only one - unlikely that I will renew next year for exactly this reason.
Don’t want the ads, turn them off.
