"AvastSvc.exe" uses ~ 50% of CPU - New Avast 2016

Since the last update of Avast software not working as it should … service “AvastSvc.exe” uses ~ 50% of CPU … what is wrong … I uninstalled / reinstalled the application using the utility "avast! Uninstall Utility “twice the result is the same … After ~1 minute at boot” AvastSvc.exe "go crazy … the same thing happens all under Windows 10 and on the second PC, this time AMD CPU …
Another intelligent scanning problems found running at 43% … is blocking network scanning, sit for hours without completing the task
What is wrong? …
Now I upload dump file on FTP

Doruletz, it was usual that Avast require some time to scan and fill the caches.
Maybe booting another time will reduce the interference.
Anyway, thanks for the dump, hope the technicians take a look on it.

I have the same problem and try the same things with the same results as th OP but im runnig windows 7 . I restarted and waited in case the program have some task to complete but nothing happened .

Strange because I have the exact opposite findings.

I don’t even know that Avast is running it’s using a very small amount of system resources as you can see.
Wonder if your installations are fairly new and it just needs to settle in ???

Whilst your CPU is showing this AvastSvc.exe, is the avast tray icon rotating ?

It shouldn’t be that active unless something is triggering scans.
Other than that when is this happening as at points if the NG (virtual machines) is initialising or there is an update going on.

I just wonder what this ArcSoft Connect Service is as that to gets quite high, I wonder if that could be triggering avast scans.

http://www.shouldiblockit.com/acservice.exe-4611.aspx

the avast tray icon is not rotating like when a scan es going on it behave normal

this happened after a few minutes of starting windows , i dont know about NG virtual machines but no update is going on , i disable updates to be sure

i dont know why you mentioned that Arcsoft service , is from the webcam and its not consuming any cpu at all

That is what is strange, it is almost like it has stalled and showing a previous state.

I mentioned it because of your second image - look at the highlighted entry and then its ID 4488 - then check your first image and check what ID 4488 is and you will see it as ArcSoft Connect Service.

In the first one the id is 4088 the second is 4488 ! Acservice is innocent :stuck_out_tongue:

I have the same issue g_642 and can’t figure it out

And just to clarify my issue starts 35/10 minutes after I start up even if I do nothing to my PC (As in I don’t touch it to open anything)

Cheers

Sounds like some maintenance or update service starting on a regular basis which would be scanned.

DO you know how I would isolate that?

I don’tg, maybe someone else does ???

Meanwhile I tried several times to uninstall / install the application, in Safe Mode Using the utility “avast! Uninstall Utility” I tried to clean everything about application … but both systems from a Windows 10 PC Windows is newly installed, “AvastSvc.exe” behave as giving 44-55% CPU load on …
During this time the tray icon does not rotate Avast …

A newly installed Windows OS takes quite a while to do all of it’s housekeeping like,
building the search database, etc.
Maybe you need to be a little more patient and allow the new OS to get settled and then take another look and see if things are still
not to you liking.

WELCOME to the club i didnt found a solution yet :frowning:

i disable windows update but noting happened
