MBAM is blocking access to a potentially malicious website on an outgoing port and it’s blocking a process called avastsvc.exe
Is it blocking something from avast from working? This happened when i went on a torrent website.

It isn’t blocking avastSvc.exe but blocking what it considers a malicious site.
The avastSvc.exe is in control of the Web Shield and that is acting as the local proxy to scan http traffic. So your browser has tried to access this site and that gets redirected through the web shield (avastSvc.exe) so that the traffic can be scanned.
So what site were you trying to reach ?
I think it was kickasstorrents.com a pop up directing me to a gambling website came up and MBAM and Avast did their jobs.
Personally I would be avoiding that torrents site and or I would also be blocking pop-ups and using firefox with NoScript add-on.
Hello,
need help; avastsvc.exe is using 98 - 100% of my CPU according to task master. This is jamming my computer big time. This problem came after updating Avast last night. How can I fix this?
Thanx
Bob
