as a precaution i uninstalled avast and installed microsoft security essentials and then i generated the scan logs.
i did not see any errors during avast installation.
Could you install Avast please and then run a fresh OTL log… You can keep MSE on for the duration
ok, i uninstalled MSE and installed avast again and now it seems to be running fine. after reboot avastui is loading normally. was i infected?
No there was no indication of malware
How is the computer behaving ?
it is working normally. avast icon is the first thing that appears in the system tray and shutdown is very quick again.

Run OTL and press the cleanup button to uninstal it ;D
