Why not attach the proposed avatar to your post and we could possibly see why.
Other forums may have a resize function that scales down the image to their acceptable avatar size, this forum doesn’t do that so it could be either screen size or physical file size or file type, posting it as an attachment to your post would give an indication.
Bob3160: The properties says its a jpeg (in caps) image. It is smaller than your photo picture.
DavidR: Did not know hoe to attach, so I tried to paste it here; We’ll see what happens.
OarngeCrate and marc57: Sounds like we have the same problem, but when I copy the designation (not a url I do not think), it cannot be pasted to that window. This is the bare designation number 214813_26695768.

Final step after you have entered your text click post and it is done.
Go to http://photobucket.com, and sign up for an account. It’s free. Follow the instructions there. In the album you will create, you can upload pictures from your computer. Once uploaded, below the picture will be a “URL link” for it. Copy and paste that into avast in the area I suggested above.
If you want to resize your avatar, use this site http://resizepic.com/ to do so. Once resized, you can save it back to your computer. Then upload it to photobucket, etc.
You each (all) had the problem solving process down very well. I appreciate it.
DavidR was thinking in the first necessary problem solving step. VERY good.
OrangeCrate and marc57 happened to have the answer from past experience.
BTW, the Photobucket site is Great! I did not happen to see it, or the like. I have an old win98–when cleaned precisely (malware-virus/registry/defrag) works OK on both web site, and program, downloads. Being able to upload pic’s offsite is a great space saver that lessons my cache space load up probs.
