Personally I will choose avast! over AVG. It is a easy 100% vs 0% one sided decision for me.

I would defiantly choose avast over avg, avast have higher detection rate then avg and using less ram then avg to.
alot of tests from different companies prove that avast detection is better than AVG for many years
I still will doubt about Avast and Avira, but Avast vs AVG??? stick absolutely with Avast, it´s far better than AVG. Of course, if you have the AVG license… u can always give it a try, but be careful about you cliks over there ;D

Avira 10 has proven his so good remove method in any way and its has failed. Even if Avira would got a high detection rate than avast! i would choice avast! over it has its removal is way way more easy for me and many user. Also for in term of ads avast! is more professional i can say. Also avast! Internet Security 5 has just proven to our user that avast! has not done to impressionate us.
For AVG vs avast! i would say that i had many complain about AVG dont want to uninstall,bog and got so much problem with little thing also with a overview of their detection. For now a day i would suggest avast! as its more reliable in term of exploit and maybe in term of any others virus too.
Also in term of ram then avast! own both. I can just say avast! did impressionate me really in this version. So if your AVG or Avira license has expired i would recommand you to take the trial that ALWIL give and try out their products. You could say “WOW !” and feel like to got a new computer.

Hi Mr. Agent! i do not agree with you about Avira. In fact it has prove a high detection rate, even higer that Avast! in the last AV comparatives:

Personally i do not like the new version (10) of Avira, i do not why but i feel the program is worse right now. Because of that and the fact that Avast! has an excellent new version of his AV is taht i would prefer Avast forever right now instead of Avira.
concerning avast! vs AVG it´s a no no way for me anyway, Avira is sitill superior to AVG for a big big margin…

Those test are being old now. And i seen alot virus missed by Avira and fps.
I dont feel Avira very friendly user with his pop ups (ads) that appear when you update it.
Also the scan of Avira and AVG comparing to avast! then again avast! is win.
The red umbrella marketing in my country is second best behind Kaspersky. But I still choose avast!
actually, I am a AVG reseller for 5yrs and have been using AVG for over 10yrs but I have found with version 9.0 most of my clients have had nothing but problems with it, free or paid versions. I have been so dissatisfied with the product to date that from now on i am only putting Avast Free for home use and Avast Pro for my business clients on in XP and some of my Windows 7 clients. Some of my Window 7 clients I am putting on MSE only because it is easier to configure than Avast for the beginner user. There is no official forum for AVG Pro users and it just seems to me with the experience I have had they take too long to “fix” issues.

Yes, those test have some time right now but the one i put the link to is the last.If you look just at thenumbers Avira has abetter detection rate (Avira 99,3%; Avast! 97,3% and AVG 94,2%) -just to know, 0.03% of the sample aquals 3700 malwares-
As i said before, that´s if you just look at the numbers, the you have a lot of other things, as the pop upnotification of avira free that is really anoying.
I do not understand when you say “Also the scan of Avira and AVG comparing to avast! then again avast! is win” if you talk about scan options and the like i think you are right, but i am not sure you are talking about that.
