The current AVG privacy policy is actually not much different from others IMHO. Somehow, AVG got into some PR issues because of it last year but I don’t yet fully understand why.
Eventually, we will want to standardize these things but as you can imagine, it’s not at the top of the priority list right now.
All I would say is that we (Avast, and now AVG) don’t sell user data.
As most of you know, we do look into insights that can be pulled from traffic data, but that’s different.
