Is this something I should be concerned about?
You didn’t supply the key information - where exactly it was found.
How exactly did Avira find anything in Avast - and the where is important-as is the what-- full path please
do you have both installed?
have you ever had any other AV’s installed including pre installed?
I run Avira and Avast. This was found in C:\WINDOWS\Temp_avast4_\unp214400852.tmp
Yes, that’s the problem. Avast unpacked the file to the temporary directory and Avira generically detected that it was specifically unpacked file. So it was not ‘in avast’ but ‘in avast temporary directory’.
If you run two AVs in the same time, you are guaranteed to get such problems.
Yes - hard to diagnose problems
have a fresh copy of whichever AV you wish to use downloaded
remove avast first using instructions here
http://www.pchell.com/virus/uninstallavast.shtml
then go to bottom of page and reamove any other AV listed especially if Norton, Panda, Mcafee was pre installed on your machine
lastly
go to the remove antivir link and follow the instructions including using the Antivir reg cleaner
last instruction is to install a new antivirus
there are many AV’s which have on line and/or on demand scanners
Avast and Anti-vir are not recommended for this purpose
Tech recommends these:

I suggest, full computer on-line scanning:
Kaspersky (very good detection rates)
ESET NOD32
Trendmicro housecall
F-Secure
BitDefender (free removal of the malware)
