AVST and Outlook caller ID wrong information??

Wondering if anyone can shine a light on this issue with AVST that I am currently having. We have recently switched over to AVST voicemail system which is located in our corporate office and we are one of the 8 locations that is connected to the AVST system remotely. So far we were able to tweak and getting things to work ok in all the locations. But we are running into one issue with a handful of user’s in my office who when receiving a voicemail either being transferred directly into their voicemail or transferred from their secretary using an express messaging mailbox to send the caller into the user’s voicemail. When the user gets a message in Outlook, in the subject line it is displaying that the voicemail was left by himself with his phone number instead of the outside caller who actually left the message.

Only in Outlook that is displaying in the subject line the incorrect info but when the user calls his voicemail and listen for envelope information, the system tells the correct information that the message was left from an outside caller along with the correct phone number.

This does not happen to all the voicemail that the user’s get but sporadiclly. It could go one or even two days with no problem and then all of a sudden one message that comes in will display incorrectly in the Outlook subject line. Then it will work fine for the rest of the day. Sometimes once or twice during the day but avery sporadic and does not happen everyday.

Tried replicating the issue for troubleshooting with our voicemail and pbx support vendor but was not able to replicate the problem. Have tried all suggestion from the both the AVST and PBX support vendor such as rebuilding their phone and voicemail box back from scratch, New phones, checked all COS and specs and is in line with other user’s in other offices that are not having the issue.

I have run out of ideas and it seems so does the support vendors. Still waiting for them to get back to me and see if they are able to find any solutions to the problem.

Have anyone experienced issues like this with AVST and Outlook or have any suggstions that may be causing the problem.

Thanks in advance.

This is the avast! support forum. NOT AVST

Sounds like (A) simple slip up. ;D.
