why is that
Are you referring to the icon in the forum?
There are some functions on the avast forums which cannot be accessed until
a user gets twenty posts. Please do not post just to pump up your post count
as all needless posts will be deleted and will not count.
If you post please make sure the post is relevant.

I suspect the OP means the Avatar image to the left of most users posts.
Aside from the likely restriction on newbies to vie other users profile information; you also have to be logged in when trying to view it even if you have exceeded the likely 20 post restricted.
The bigger question would be why do you need to look at another users profile, there is very little in the profile that is public even when you can access it. Most information is in the profile signature which is displayed in the posts.

Note that pointless posts for the sake post building will be removed and posting advice in the viruses board requires approval.
