Just I’m not using avast! at this time, as I have another AV solution subscription :-\ , but I’m not going to leave you: I’m still here ready to help to others, or just spread usefull information. I still with you all! ;D
It looks like people are losing their confidence in avast! or what ? I mean I’ve been offered another antivirus (Pro) for free as well and I simply refused to take that offer… I mean, why would I need to try anything else, when this baby does it’s job and it does it pretty well. Not a single infection since the very first day I started to use it… since I started to use Home Edition and switched to Pro.
Ditto, I can’t imagine accepting a free offer of another AV pro or not, when avast is such a configurable, flexible anti-virus that has also looked after me with no virus infection since installation almost a year and a half ago.
If it isn’t broken there is no need to fix it.
I generally only go looking when there is something wrong, like when I moved from AVG to avast and haven’t looked back since.
I still have a valid license to another AV program but ditched NAV (oops) and after using the free version
of avast! for a few month, paid for the Pro version. It’s almost time for me to renew my avast license and even though
I still have a year left on the other unmentioned NAV program (oops) I have no intentions of going back to it.
I’ll either purchase another avast! Pro license or use the free version.
I found a good thing in avast! and I don’t intend to give it up. ;D ;D
Hello all again. I’m back! ;D With avast! Only one day with other AV, and I missed avast! very much, so it was good reason to do a clean XP installation, half a day and my PC again safe and clean with avast “wall” in the front. And I can say: other AV’s… better don’t use them ;D
I was visiting today my sister’s family. They run F-Secure security suite but from their ISP vendor. Something had happened … the update did not work well … antivirus, whole suite was gone.
I did not install avast for them, but told … no such worries while I have run it.
Bloated security suite propably got messed up with something. Ad-Aware and SpyBot it needed anyways to uninstall
Me, too. Does this explain why we haven’t switched to Pro version?
On the second thought, if I had followed the empiricist maxim strictly, I am not supposed to have any security apps at all now since I have never experienced security crisis. Touch wood
