A month ago Avast notified me that I need to register or my free version would expire. After registering, the notifications continued. This forum suggested uninstalling my version, download the new version and register. It worked like a charm. After a month, the notification came again. I checked the info and I was registered already. I re-register one more time, and the notification keeps coming.
So click the register button in the GUI. Also your registration could have hardly expired with one month ahead, not really sure what message are you talking about - which is likely the reason there is no register button visible there.
If they follow the same date format you registered on a date in the future 3 May 2011. If it is March 5th 2011, then that is weird as the date of expiry should be 3/5/2012 and nit 4/1/2011 ?
Whilst you can use the free version for 30 days without having to register, that would appear to be correct 3/5/2011 plus 30 days 4/4/2011. So if that is the case you haven’t registered and there should be a register now button, use that to register, see image example.
Note we are using images as it is easier to explain, if you can do a capture of only the avastUI registration that will help us too.
No David the format is MM/DD/YYYY. And I think its ok as he has not registered on 5th March 2011 and expiry is 4th April 2011 which is ok as for trial. What I think here is he has not registered it yet and just complaining… Thats the only problem with him.
Perhaps the OP used a trial version instead. By the time the OP responds to this, his/her expiration will be over unless they already took care of this issue.
As of 4/4, my registration had expired. I did register when I downloaded and reinstalled a month ago. Perhaps I had downloaded a trial version by mistake. I will uninstall and download again. How can I avoid the trial version?
I checked and confirmed that my current expired version is the Free version, which I believe is not a trial version. Will uninstall and download again.
