I don´t understand what means this kind of setting in web shield ?
- Unchecked MIME types (insert /take off)
audio/*
text/css/*
video/*
I take off 2 types (GIF and PNG) Is it really safe if Avast doesn´t check video files and audio files ?

These are excluded filetypes for Web Shield. Alwil guys excluded some filetypes that cannot be infected in order to speed up browsing with Web Shield enabled.
Basically you can leave it as it is. If you want to scan all files even non infectable you can remove them all and ad just one string that makes no sense (like: uwerxfnybrz)
This way avast! will check all files that go through Web Shield without exception.
But it might create more “lag” when browsing web pages…
I don´t remember how the setting was exactly before I remove GIF and PNG.
Can you help me ?
Just remove all f them and leave empty field. Close this dialog and re-open it. Tada, default values will be automatically restored when list is completely empty
Thank you much very, RejZor !
Now I removed all of them and everything is like it was before
Are there other extensions that could be ignored?
I mean, users will slow connection have even an ‘extra’ pain with WebShield scanning and, apparently, there is not a ‘default’ set of extensions to be scanned like Standard Shield has. Or you scan all files or you have to set the ones to be scanned.
It would be better if all users know, by default, that they can scan only the dangerous ones, not all files being downloaded… There isn’t an option to do that easily…
