Bank Mode opens multiple tabs - out of control

In the last few weeks, I open Bank Mode and multiple tabs (my bank’s website) are opened.
At a minimum there are 2 tabs opened each time I start Bank Mode.
Other times Bank Mode opens the same tab multiple times and keeps opening new tabs – seemingly out of control.
The last time this happened (about 30 minutes ago) I did not close the Bank Mode window – just to see if Bank Mode would stop opening new tabs after a time or a specific number of tabs were opened. I let about 30 or so tabs open and it (Bank Mode) did not stop opening new tabs until I closed the Bank Mode window.

My set up: Win7 64bit SP1 - all latest updates applied.
Avast Antivirus free version all latest updates applied: Program 17.2.2288 (build 17.2.3419.64)
Virus definition: 170317-4

I have never seen something like this…

I recommend you to re-install Avast via Program and Features (control panel). Then restart your machine and try the bank mode again.

btw. default mode of the browser works OK? It is just in bank mode?

So I uninstalled Avast and made sure everything is updated.
Now, despite following the instructions I cannot make Bank Mode automatically opening at my bank site.
Several times the bar that is supposed to appear (in order to make bank mode open at my bank site automatically) does not appear.
It used to open correctly. Now it doesn’t.

Any suggestions on how to get this software to operate properly?
BTW, this kind of “performance” seriously undermines any confidence I have in this software.

What version of avast and the SafeZone browser do you now have installed ?
When removing avast, did you use avastclear ?

No, I did not use avastclear - where would I find it?

Uninstalled with avastclear. Bank Mode appears to be working properly now.
