So I got a strange message on my web browser on a site I use to frequent.
First
O/S - Windows 7 and 8.1
Firewall - Comodo
Avast - Latest version 11.1.2241
Browsers - Firefox 42.0 and Internet Explorer 11
I tried the website on both browsers and on my Windows 8.1 system. I get this “The connection was reset”. The site I go to is station drivers. This was never a problem before. So I tried turning off the firewall, clearing out the DNS, making sure proxy was not somehow set, clearing Firefox and I.E. cache, etc. What worked was when I turned off “Web Shield”. Then once I found that I entered an exception. But the problem is that the web pages have different names where I am researching and so entering all of them in as an exception is too lengthy of a process.
I have had Avast for more than a year and I was able to visit the site and has never been a problem before. Is there a new setting I that I may have missed in this new version?
Thanks
Pondus

Thanks for the response Pondus. I unchecked the setting and still the same result.
Update: Still no word? Tried other aintivirus software and no issue. So some setting (or update to defs) is not correct in Avast. Any help here would be great…
