Behavior Shield is driving me crazy

<Currently running 864 Free here, waiting until 874 is final release.>
I know that alot has been said in the forums about the Behavior Shield, and I know that it just got improved a bit in 864, but really, what the heck is going on with the Infected items total… specifically, the complete lack of information on the statistic?

As the attached image shows, BS is claiming that in the last week, 9 total infected items were detected (blocked I hope), with 3 max.

1st question… what in the world do those two numbers represent? 9 total and 3 max. What’s 3 max mean? :-
2nd question… when (and where) are users going to begin getting some details on these stats?
3rd question… per the attached image, the BS Navigator displays a timestamp of 1/8/2011 11:30 pm when I hover my cursor over the big red 3. I have searched the BehaviorShield.txt for possible clues as to what may have taken place at that time, but nothing happened at that time, let alone mention of infection. So what does that 3 mean, and why is a specific time & date displayed if I can’t reference any info on it???
4th question… regarding unblocking BS events, how can I unblock an event that I have either mistakenly blocked, or changed my mind about? The best way I can figure is to add the event to the Trusted processes. Would that be correct? It sure would be useful to have clear access to all blocked events/processes, with an undo option. Maybe such a feature exists, and I am missing it.

By the way, thanks to all the tireless volunteers here on the forum who give of their energies and knowledge to help out us poor struggling folk. 8) I really do appreciate this forum, and all the help I have gotten here.

9 total represents the total number of infections found over the specific period of time. (in your case, one week) 3 max means that the greatest number of infections found at once is 3. You don’t need to worry about unblocking events if you haven’t messed with the settings. By default, in 5.1, the Behavior Shield works in passive mode (allows all activity). Right now, as Vlk says, it just allows the avast team to collect enough data before enabling the real thing in v6.0

Well, GloobyGoob, I haven’t “messed” with the settings, as you call it.

Just last week, Ondřej stated that, “setting it to Ask should be fine for any user who’s not insulted/frightened by a popup now and then”, so I merely followed his advice.

And I’m not “worried” about unblocking events… I am here asking for advice about it, to learn how others are doing it. Have you unblocked any processes, GloobyGoob? Cause if you have, then why don’t you share with me? If you haven’t, just say so.

Setting it to ask is fine, I didnt mean to discourage you from modifying settings. When I said “messing” with the settings I only meant changing them.

Also, there isn’t any way to unblock events as far as I know…
