Behavior Shield Keeps disabling itself

Hi!

Whenever I disable the shields for a while and then re-enable them (or are automatically re-enabled after the selected time has passed), they are all enabled, but after 2 or 3 minutes the behavior shiled will disable itself. If I re-enable it, it will re-disable itself again after a few minutes and son on. Latest avast free on win 7 64.
Tried un-installing and re-installing, didn’t fix it.
The only workaround seems to either reboot or log off and then back on and never disable the shields. That way, they all stay enabled.

Hi, it has been “optimized” in V19.9.2394 (beta).

So, Do I have to install a beta version to get this fixed???

Well, you don’t have to but you could try if it works for you.

If you do, please let us know if it fixed the issue.

but I read that the latest beta has A LOT of serious issues!
Why the hell should I install a beta version to fix a problem that SHOULDN’T EVEN EXIST in the first place!

OK, is this EVER gonna get fixed???

EVER???
or should I switch to a different AV solution once and for all?

it’s been over a month and this HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. what are you waiting for???

What’s wrong with Windows Defender in Win 10??? 100% detection in AV-Comparatives, problem free, zero dollars, no advertising…

Well, he’s running W7 and the WD version is crap there.

In Win7, isn’t it Security Essentials ???

Hi Bob, it depends if it has been installed.

It didn’t come with Defender.

That’s correct.

version 20 released AND THIS BUG IS STILL THERE, EXACTLY THE SAME!!
what the hell is wrong with the devs, that can’t fix a simple bug?
Now, it’s worse, avast will detect viruses even with the shields disabled. THERE IS NO WAY TO PAUSE PROTECTION NOW.

Absolutely Right 8)

Both Mr. Sagar Bedi and jvidal are on Win7 right? Is that a clue.
I have not seen any problems with Behaviour Shield switching off on Win10 1909. Im am seeing RAM usage of 39MB, but is small compared to FF.

I’m on W10 Mate

Hi, I forwarded it…
