I’ve looked at the shield log and whereas before the update to 1466 I had some scanning activity every day I have had none since.
Is this normal and is there a way to test the shield?

Have you made any changes to the Behavior Shield ?
What is your operating system ?
Thank you DavidR and no, no changes.
I guess I could try a repair but all that does is re-set factory settings. The shield is ‘running’ … just not scanning anything. It didn’t do a lot before but now its zero. - Windows 7 64bit, IE9

The only reason I mentioned OS is that with XP there appears to be less activity that is monitored/intercepted by the behavior shield. I have XP Pro and also unchecked the ‘Monitor the system for unauthorised modifications’ option so I get very few checks. I also have it set to Ask rather than Auto and I haven’t seen a pop-up for some considerable time.
So far today only 3 Events analysed but none of those generated a pop-up, which considering I have it set to Ask I would have expected.
Is your version of IE9 the 64bit version as I believe that has an impact on some shields, notably the script shield and I don’t know if the behavior shield would also be impacted.
Whilst it mentions an avast! Repair setting it back to factory settings, I have never found that to be the case.
No, I now use the 32bit IE9. Script shield hasnt recorded anything for 2 or so weeks. - You’re right about the repair option, I just remembered that it remembers settings. I will try and see if that solves it.

By all accounts the script shield isn’t working on IE9 after the latest windows update for IE9, I don’t know how long this is going to take to resolve.
No problem DavidR. The repair has done the job and the shield is up and running.

You’re welcome.
