While troubleshooting a completely different problem I stumbled across this.
Turning off the Behavior Shield status monitoring doesn’t work. It still monitors the behavior shield and shows the warning in the gui and tray icon. Please see attached.

This is a known issue and the Avast team are aware of it. It should be fixed in a future version.
That behavior will be evident whenever you turn off any of the shields (protective parts of Avast)
It’s simply telling you that you aren’t fully protected.
The OP has mentioned status monitoring. If that is disabled for a particular component, Avast shouldn’t show a warning in GUI and tray icon.
The problem is Status Monitoring shouldn’t be relevant to the Behaviour Shield as that is off by default (as far as I’m aware) in the Status Monitoring section
How is it known to you that this is a known issue?
