How do I remove a block on a website I know to be operating normally now
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
First I would suggest confirming that with other sites:
See if it does indeed come up clean.
You can report both a False Positive for the URL
- Choose Your Sample Submission Type | Avast
- You won’t get a direct response but it should be analysed within 48 hours, if found to be false it will be removed.
As you didn’t post any information on the Alert it isn’t possible to check here.
A screenshot of the Avast Alert with the Details option selected could help.
Create a screenshot on your computer and save it locally. Using windows explorer or other file management program, drag and drop into your post.
Of course you could add an exception (Menu > Settings > Exceptions) for the site, not something I would advise unless you are 100% certain (e.g. the above links give it a clean return).
Thank you very much for that very helpful reply. I have filed a copy of it for future use. I am pretty well on into my 80s and the only thing I could think of to do was to disengage from Avast. This fixed the problem immediately. However when I immediately redownloaded and logged into my account I wasn’t quite sure that I was still regarded as a paying member. I think I am as I can see all my details again! I was sorry I had not the patience to wait for a reply.
You’re welcome.
