I am having problems logging into certain sites, like ‘Comparethemarket’ and ‘British Airways EVouchers’ where the sites keep saying I am blocked. I have no problems using my iPad or mobile phone which are using the same router. does anyone else have this problem please.
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
I don’t use the IPad so I can’t say why this is the case.
So if this is only happening in Windows ?
I use Windows and Android systems exclusively and use the Avast Antivirus Free 25.5 (yet to update to 25.6). I don’t use a VPN program.
I have been able to enter Compare the markets and enter my reg number and it correctly identified my car. I didn’t wish to go deeper than that, e.g. providing more personal details and my email.
Whatever Avast program you are using does it have a VPN component or are you using a VPN program ?
If so there is a strong possibility that these sites don’t like your use of a VPN as they can’t check who your are and location, etc.
