I’m wondering what others are using. So far, I have used Chrome(which came pre-installed instead of the stock browser), Dolphin, Firefox Mobile, and Boat.
The one I like the best is Dolphin because of the bookmarks being available by swiping from the left side and addons by swiping from the right. The bookmarks management is also the best and there is an add on that shows all your bookmarks on your Start screen. It’s fast and becomes blazingly fast if you install the Jetpack add on.
In second place, I put Chrome because of speed, and better handling of embedded video. It’s major drawback is the inability to set a Home page but that will probably be added at some point. Bookmark handling is also not as good as in Dolphin.
Third place goes to Boat which is okay but again does not do bookmarks as well.
Last comes Firefox, which I hated on so many levels I don’t even know where to start. It didn’t last long at all on my new tablet.
I’ll post a pic of my Start screen showing the Dolphin bookmarks widget.
I don’t even have the default Android browser. Google replaced it with Chrome on the Nexus tablets. I think Dolphin has some security features in it. I’ll check again.
"It integrates with multiple browsers (default Android Browser, Google Chrome, Amazon Silk, Boat Browser, Boat Browser Mini) and alerts you whenever you navigate to a malicious or phishing site.
(Experimental support for Dolphin Browser Mini is enabled.)"
I like Firefox the most because it syncs data nicely between PC and phone and also supports AdBlock. For low data usage i also have Opera/Opera Mini installed (Opera Turbo).
I have used Firefox some time ago, but now I have fully changed it if Chrome on Notebook and my mobile. Syncs easily between them, works faster than FF (IMHO).
I used firefox on the Google Galaxy Nexus phone some time ago, but didn’t really like it that. I just use the android default browser (don’t really like that much either), browsing on the phone is painful no matter what browser, even on the Galaxy Nexus with a very good quality, relatively large screen 4.68"
I don’t do much browsing on the phone unless I can get a wifi connection as mobile data costs in the UK are exorbitant.
