What and for what reason would be a good security combination? Firewalls, anti malware, spyware etc. Together with Avast?

I think that avast! Free antivirus + COMODO firewall (cloud is on, also you can use D+ (hips)) is the best security combination. And it is absolutely free! :slight_smile: It is only my IMO :wink:

Depends on your OS and whether or not you run a router

For 7 then as far as I am concerned Avast is enough (OK I have IAS, but if I had Pro or Free I would let windows handle the firewall side)

Here is what lately i have been doing for people: avast+immunet free+ win firewall

immunet free has 2 engines and works in combination with avast in a very well mannered way…its light,effective and superioir ;D

Avast + Windows 7 Firewall + Browser Firefox together with NoScript + AddBlockPlus
Malwarebytes free for a rare extra scan.

(People forgot mentioning where most people get their malware from,
from using vulnerable browsers that let websites execute their evil scripts with help of adds)

Quite a lot of infection comes from Lack of knowledge, Lack of awareness and Lack of Patience. :wink: 8)

You don’t need immunet free because Avast has a cloud AV in their free version similar to immunet free, IF I’m not mistaken.

Hey guys. I’m in a total crisis. When I plug my USB into my dad’s PC, it creates a shortcut called"RECYCLER" I dont even know what that is. Please help. Mind you his doesn’t have Avast, but AVG. I can’t take it out because he’ll refuse.> Please help!!! :‘( :’( :cry: :-\ :-\ :-\
