Best Uninstaller program?

I would like to know your opinion on the best uninstaller as sometimes theres always registrys staying behind so im thinking of starting using one.

Well I have survived for many years without an uninstaller program just using add remove programs. If I experienced regular issues uninstalling software then perhaps it might be worth having on my system, but that certainly isn’t the case, so I don’t feel it is worth it.

Registry cleaners and there are many of them, can clean up orphaned registry entries so if you you already have a tool that incorporates a registry cleaner you should be reducing any remnants.

ok if you say so, but theres other something i need to ask that can be related i think…

I uninstalled bs player pro yesterday but the extension of files were still of bs player altough i used c cleaner to clean everything more the registrys, after restarting system he still had the extension to the player i uninstalled, best way i could think was open windows media palyer and check all the video extensions to it.

Means the extension of the video files arent saved in its registry? sorry if my question is kinda weird ~~

Edit: Hum i used Revo Uninstaller and could at least remove 35mb of junk files like thumbs, i think it was more or less worth for that, or is there a specific tool to remove thumb files (maybe theres an option in ccleaner and i dont know xD)

If you want to do a complete uninstall you can use ZSoft Uninstaller. Like it can monotorize an installation it does a very good work when user uninstall with their uninstall log.

I use Revo also when I haven’t the Zsoft log to uninstall.

Both are far better than standard Windows Add/remove.

I tend to check program folders after an uninstall and delete any remnants if there are any, occasionally there are.

However the add remove uninstall should restore extension defaults and since you are mentioning it neither did Revo.

If you right click on a file that would have been opened/played by this player, you will see an option to ‘Open with’ if you don’t see that option press and hold the Shift key whilst right clicking on the file and that option should now be in the menu.

When you select the ‘Open with’ option the window that is displayed will usually have a number of programs which may be able to open/play the file (don’t select them) select choose program image 1. Another window will open with programs that have previously been used to open different file types, if the one you want to use isn’t shown, click the browse button and navigate to the executable to use. You should now be back to the original window, tick the ‘Always use the selected program to open this kind of file’ option and click OK to complete, image 2.

However, depending on the player you want to use it may have a setting to allocate file types it will open.

I happen to like Your Uninstaller 2008 but it isn’t free.
