Beta or Virus Problem?

Since I’ve installed the latest beta I have been having the following problems.

My computer has not loaded properly a couple times when I’ve turned it on, basically my desktop loads partially, some desktop icons are blank and Avast, MBAM, MBAE will not load. A restart corrects this.

Or Avast shields will shut off and I cannot turn them on, have to restart.

Or computer just slows to a crawl, pages won’t open, Avast won’t open, have to restart.

All this has been happening since installing this beta. Tried repairing twice, same thing.

I will post logs shortly.

Logs, MBAM showed nothing.

hey have you tried a clean installation of avast? this usually is good ide to try.

  1. Download Avastclear, Rejzors uninstall tool and the appropriate Avast program edition.
    Here are the installer links. Note: You need to be ONLINE during this install.

  1. Uninstall Avast by control panel [If you don’t have Avast in control Panel go to #4]
  2. Uninstall in Safe Mode using Avastclear.

  3. Run Rejzors Uninstall Utility in Normal Mode (removes traces avastclear doesn’t) - reboot.

  4. Be Sure Too Check Once Uninstall is Complete:Device Manager>View>Show Hidden Devices
    If there is anything related to Avast with a yellow triangle then uninstall it (highlight, right click) and reboot.
  5. Install the version you downloaded.
  6. Reboot.

Looks clean to me. As an aside I have not noticed those problems on the beta myself

Thanks Essex, will try todays new version .2015 and see how that runs before I try a clean install.

Started acting up again so did clean re-install. Using 2014.9.0.2013, will stick with this until new program update, hopefully skipping the beta may help. So far so good.

Eddy if you read my two posts above yours you shall see that I tried .2015, same symptoms so I followed your instructions and re installed .2013. Its only been a few hours but no problems yet, I think I will wait until new version and not try any of the betas to see if that helps. Possibly something in the betas is conflicting with something in my computer.
