Beta version released - 12.4.2281

It’s a bug. Similar to this… https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=192808.msg1347474#msg1347474
Evidently it’s a bug when adding or removing a component via the GUI.

How can I access the Browser Cleanup Tool via the UI ???
What happened to the standalone tool ???

Is it not under the Scan option. Check out the image on Reply #9 https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=192643.msg1346614#msg1346614, Other Scans.

Ah Reply #11 shows the expanded Other Scans, but it doesn’t show Browser Clean up. Looks like it has gone missing.

Awful GUI … Horrible purple color, too much lost space … I hope the final new version will have a better and more finished GUI.

Guys ::slight_smile:

From the release notes :

Known issues: ... + SmartScan and Browser Cleanup not finished

Greetz, Red.

Thanks Red ,
Guess I missed that . Thanks

When are the statistics coming back ???

Avast wanted to redesign the Statistics, but as far as I know there is no ETA for it :-
The “old” Statistics are still available from your Avast Account.

Greetz, Red.

The Statistics page is blank in the my.avast.com account (viewed in your browser) and has been for some time, I have tried it several times but no joy.

It does however work going from the avastUI to your account, not that it is worth the journey as the stats are even less than they were before. I can only assume that the data is coming from a local source and my.avast.com isn’t able to access them.

Hi Bob, the stats are back already, see Reply #8 & #9.

Standalone BCU: https://www.avast.com/browser-cleanup

Not as complete as it should be. Need to wait till the UI gets finished.
Thanks for the hint on the statistics.

You’re welcome Bob.

Beta team,
Are my download problems fixed when this beta goes final ?
See https://support.avast.com/support/tickets/563093

It’s difficult to predict as to the behavior on a given system due to the fact that no two systems are exactly alike.

Filing a new support ticket and asking this question might get you an answer.

Anyone??? I suspect Avast is doing something funky with webtraffic.

Bob I quote from within my ticket 563093:

Thank you for your response. Our developers are still working on this problem. Hopefully this problem will get fixed with the next program update.
There is a BETA version of the new Avast available now, but I’m afraid this problem isn’t yet addressed there. You can check the BETA here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=192643.0
I’ll leave this ticket open in the meantime and will let you know when the fix version will be released.
Please again accept our apologies for this inconvenience.

So what I asked here was requested in the ticket.

By the way, why talk this two Avast teams not with each other ?

@ Clocks

I’m not sure what you mean by bufferbloat ?

I would suggest that you try speedtest.net and see if it confirms your results with the other check. Whilst I’m not on the current beta, I have maintained similar results over the years (using speedtest.net) that are close to my broadband contract 52Mbps download and 9Mbps upload.

Latest check 51.54Mbps and 8.68Mbps
