Better disable active scripting in IE

Hi forum folks,

A hole has been discovered in IE that can be exploited. This vulnerability has not been patched, so better disable active scripting until a solution has been found. Read about it here:

Better still use an alternative browser that doesn’t have active sctipting issues untill it is patched (you could be waiting some time), firefox or opera.

Even Maxthon, that uses IE core, has an ‘external’ control of what is downloaded: pictures, ActiveX… and one of the options are the Scripts. I agree with David, better a browser that you can manage this…

Yes, those browsers that allow easy switching off activeX, etc. even if they use the IE core are better it is such a simple task to quickly switch it on if you absolutely need it for a trusted site/purpose.

I use Maxthon and Avant as alternates to firefox if the site has to have IE to display as intended (e.g. poor wc3 standards conformity using proprietary code only IE actions).
