I cancelled my Avast renewal due on 17/5/2016 on 12/5/2016 but sneakily they had already taken my money 5 days early! I’ve been trying to get the money back but they keep giving me the runaround.
If you do decide to use Avast’s products BEWARE always cancel any auto renewal the day you purchase, They’re beginning to look like a bunch of dodgy crooks - how hard it is to do a refund.
You have gotten 3 mails saying that the renewal soon will take place, giving you enough time to disable the auto-renewal.
Depending on the country/language you are using, auto-renewal is by default disabled in the avast store.
What do you mean with “the runaround” ?
Did you submit a ticket ?
If you did on what date was it and what is the ticket number ?
