They are disabled. I did do a repair which did not fix it. I did a complete uninstall, then reinstall and that did fix it for two days and now the problem is back. I am using windows 7 and this problem showed up since the program BEFORE 2/2/16. When I restore my pc back to my November backup, the problem was fixed, but after that update, problem returned. I will try the latest update and see if that fixes it since I just discovered that one was available as of 2/3/16. I am using the free version. Is there anything else I have yet to try? My networking is disabled too for about two minutes after booting also. I have avast on four other computers and this one is the only one with this issue.
Have you had AVG on the system at any time ?
Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
[*]Right click to run as administrator (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File). When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Select additions at the bottom
[*]Press Scan button.

[*]It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from.
[*]Please attach both logs generated.
I applied the latest update and after the reboot, everything was normal. I will see if the problem returns and if/when it does, I will run that program and upload the results. My system was fine for a day or two , but the problem returned. Hopefully it won’t this time. Time will tell and thanks for the reply
Glad your problem was resolved. You neglected to answer the question asked as to your possible use of AVG ???
sorry about the avg part. no, I have only used Avast anti virus. So far so good with no problems after the update.
