Big False Positives Problem

Hi,

I updated my Avast Definitions to: 2008-07-06
And now its the hell on my computer.

I play a game called Wolfteam and it use Xtrap for AntiHack protection.
Now his DLL definitions seem to make my antivirus false alarms.
W32:Trojan-gen(Other) in: C:\program files\Softnyx\Wolfteam\Xtrap\XTapVA.dll

This one is not that bad cause i can add in execeptions list.

but after few hours I found another problem with Sun VirtualBox

My VDI (Virtual Hard Drives) files are detected as:
Suela-1042

Si lost my virtual data… omg

Well hope these anoying things will be fixed

Thanks!

I had the same problem with Virtual Box, and with Wubi-8.04.1

I have the same problem with the latest version of VirtualBox and VMWare 6.5. Avast seems to flag both types of virtual machines as some trojan. I think this is a false alarm right? Since I also use other anti-virus programs and they didn’t detect.

Anyone can provide more info?

drive images of the virtual machines may contain a lot of “misty” binary data regarding their compression/encryption methods… some of them have no compression/encryption and there’s a possibility to detect an underlaying antivirus with plain signature file… anyway, it is always better to exclude virtual machines from scanning…
