I have “avast! Home” last few years and succesful use program.
But I use some software called “RegSeek” and with him delete some Registry Entries.
After that I have a problem.
Every time I login on my PC (win XP), this messege show “Licence Key is not entered”. When I try to enter either my valid licence key, or even a new licence Key, it say “Invalid Licence number”.
Not a leading or trailing space problem
Am copying and pasting - no problem there
Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling from my account
I refresh my licence code with valid email and regular informations
You might want to try either a repair installation (go to the Control Panel, “Add/Remove Programs,” then click on avast,) and if that doesn’t work, uninstall avast using this utiilty…
I sorry, I forgot to say this…
I reinstall avast! Home, normal from XP safe mode with program downloaded from www.avast.com,
then I install again avast! Home, and in this situations are same messege
Did You use “RegSeek” or “RegSeeker”. If you were using “RegSeeker”, It has a backup Before deleting box to check. If it was checked, use the backup to restore your registry to what it was. (only delete the green, I was told, and be carefull of that also.)
Yes I use “RegSeeker”, and some files with backup work properly, but few (two), don’t work…
They says:Error accessing the registry! This is backup files:CLEAN and SOFTWARE…
I try that in SAFE mode, too. Same results…
Ok I know now that I broke some important things, and i must install another Antivirus… Avast is good, but i don’t have any other idea for solving this problem…
I will use Avast again when I install fresh copy of Windows, for few months…
