BigFix

I am running Windows XP and I recently put Avast 4.7.892 on to my computer, replacing AVG.
Since then each time I shut down the computer BigFix fails to end and I have to manually shut it down.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Is there a solution to this problem?

And what is this BigFix thing? Check the executable properties… where does it come from?
