I just did a recovery of an hp laptop to windows 7 home.
After all the updates where in etc, and the computer was configuring itself, an error came up:
“A problem has occured in BitDefender Threat Scanner. A file containing error information has been created at C:\Windows\Temp\BitDefender Threat Scanner.dmp. You are strongly encouraged to send the file to the developers of the application for further investigation of the error.”
I NEVER installed this??? I cant find it on the system either…or when i try to go to that folder, I cant because of security?? Im the admin?
I installed AVAST, Superantispyware, Malwarebytes, Spybot, and CCleaner.
Why would this error start coming up after a recovery?? :o

I found a removal tool and it seemed to remove something…I guess bitdefender was in the software bundle with the computer and when I did the recovery it reinstalled something?

Oh well, all seems fine now.
Thanks for help!
