I have been trying to set up email with windows email and was never able to get my outgoing email to send. I shut down Avast free antivirus and email is sent. when avast is running, i am not able to send. Is there a setting that I can set to stop this from happening?

Are the ones that don’t work using SSL (secure encrypted connection) ?
What are the full error texts for the ones that aren’t working ?
